Fashion Illustration:
My Illustrations are a mixture of bold and expressive line drawings created with pencil, guache, colored pencils, oil pastels, and markers.
When creating Illustrations I like to tell a visual story; each story is filled with movement,color, character, and with a hint of playfullness and mystery.
This piece was inspired by a trip to the Guggenheim Museum to find inspiration for my Illustrations. I came across the Fullness of Color: 1960’s exhibit; and I created a new illustration based on the painting called ‘Canal’ by Helen Frankenthaler.
This piece was inspired by what I saw while walking through the neighborhoods of Harlem Men and women and their style as they moved through the neighborhood; along with the ornate facades of the Brownstones. I was intrigued by both and this image came to mind while creating.
